These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the puddin.ai website and related services, including the Puddin SDK and authorship verification infrastructure (the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Definitions

“Service” refers to the Puddin website, SDK, middleware, APIs, and verification systems.
“User” refers to any individual or entity accessing the Service.
“Customer” refers to an organization that integrates or deploys the Service.
“Process Data” refers to behavioral signals generated during writing, including timing, edits, and input events.
“Attestation” refers to a cryptographic record generated by the Service to verify authorship.

3. Description of Service

Puddin provides infrastructure for generating verifiable authorship attestations based on writing process signals.

The Service analyzes how text is produced, not the semantic meaning of the text. The Service does not guarantee legal validity of attestations in any jurisdiction.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

5. Accounts and Access

You may be required to provide accurate information to access certain features.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of credentials

  • All activity under your account

We may suspend or terminate access if information is inaccurate or if misuse is detected.

6. Use Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes

  • Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the Service

  • Bypass security or integrity mechanisms

  • Use the Service to generate misleading or fraudulent attestations

  • Introduce malicious code or exploit vulnerabilities

Use of the Service must comply with applicable laws and regulations.

7. Customer Responsibilities

If you are a Customer deploying the Service:

  • You are responsible for compliance with applicable data protection laws

  • You determine how the Service is configured and used

  • You must provide any required notices to end users

Puddin acts as a processor in most enterprise deployments and processes data based on Customer instructions.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, models, and infrastructure, remain with Puddin or its licensors.

You are granted a limited, non exclusive, non transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

No rights are granted except as expressly stated.

9. Data and Attestations

You retain rights to your content and data.

Puddin may process Process Data to generate attestations.

Attestations:

  • Reflect probabilistic evidence based on captured signals

  • Are not guarantees of authorship or identity

  • May be subject to limitations depending on context and integration

You are responsible for how attestations are used.

10. Third Party Services

The Service may rely on third party infrastructure or integrations. Puddin is not responsible for third party services or their availability.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • No warranties are made regarding accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose

  • Puddin does not guarantee uninterrupted or error free operation

  • Attestations are not guaranteed to be admissible in legal proceedings

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Puddin shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the Service in the preceding 12 months, or 100 USD if no fees were paid.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Puddin from claims arising from:

  • Your use of the Service

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Misuse of attestations or outputs

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access:

  • For violation of these Terms

  • To comply with legal requirements

  • To protect system integrity

You may stop using the Service at any time.

15. Modifications

We may update these Terms. Changes will be reflected by the effective date.

Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of [Insert Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.

17. Dispute Resolution
